Hey guys i just bought a 2000 yzf 600. I am still new to riding, my last bike was a ninja 250, and just want to know the basics. Being a used a bike what should i do maintance on first? Also what milage should i change the oil and when to look at the carbs.. Just the basic maintance.
Any help would be great!

Hey,
If u use the bike a lot change the oil and filter more often, i change mine every 3000-4000 miles keeps it runnong sweet it aint done my 94 foxeye anyharm...
Also keep all your cables lubed theres nothin worse than a sticky throttle..
As for the carbs i wouldnt touch them unless u really know what your doing or as suggested get a manual...

No I meant - do you completely remove cable from bike and seperate the cable from the sheath then give her a squirt (ooh er), or do you use one of them gimmicky clamp type things?
